The just announced decision by Government to make COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for the health and disability workforce comes as no surprise and is a welcome additional measure.
Nurses Society director David Wills says the move makes sense, was expected and will be widely welcomed.

The COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 will be updated to require anyone conducting high-risk work in the health and disability sector to be fully vaccinated by 1 December, 2021.
